Solved Excel 2007 IF ISERROR

Microsoft Office excel 2007
June 1, 2012 at 01:32:54
Specs: Windows 7
I have a column of text that can contain the following, CD; GS; SF; SF; FA; FG; FG; GF; GG; NG; NG; SG; FC; FC; GC; GE; MP; SS;
Where the two letter code relates to a Service. The record may have one or more of the services, so I need to split them out matrix style into columns labelled GS, SF etc., and was hoping to use something like this formula:

=IF(ISERROR(FIND("GS",A1,1)),"-","Y")

but am not sure how to add all the possible options - take FA and FG which are basically the same service, and the non matches get a - or even just a blank and the matches get a Y for yes.
Any ideas?

I'm not sure I understand your question, but perhaps you could use an OR function.

Untested...

=IF(OR(ISERROR(FIND("GS",A1,1)),ISERROR(FIND("FA",A1,1)))"-","Y")
