I have been getting the following error message from ms outlook and outlook express as well. Checked the knowledge base 191687 and also various sessions from the net, butnot make through. reinstalled the office package still no success. This problem started few days back. My account gives the following error: unable to connect to the server , error no. 0x800ccce. This error no. is the same in outlook express and microsoft outlook as well. Pls. help me to resolve this error. My account works in other machines. Thereby stating the problem is not with the server nor with ports in the server i.e. port nos. 25 and 110 respectively. The problem is in the configuration of the machine for mail server. Pls. guide into resolving this problem. My mail server is configured on linux 7.2 and the clients are having windows 98 loaded on their machines, configured with mails on microsoft outlook or outlook express.
