Comment:

I have Office XP installed with Equation Editor
3.1. When I start typing an equation in, the Editor will show a square box for every minus sign I type. I've checked the fonts and it is set to "Times New Roman". To get a minus sign into the equation, I have to copy one to the clipboard before editing the equation and then paste it in where I need it. I have other symbol problems such as the solid dot comes out as an upside down captial A. Any Ideas.

What is your current codepage (not fonts) set to?

The Regional & Language option in the Control Panel is set to English (United States). Is there another place to look for the Codepage setting?
