Hello! This one has irritated me for long. How does one get to enter new data in a text cell without using mouse? Is there something like a hotkey or anything to move the cursor to the highlighted cell and getting to edit it without this mousedragging?

Ctrl+G or Alt, E, G will allow you to select a cell but I know of no way of editing or adding additional text to already existing text within a cell. I suspect MS figures that you should do it right the first time and then won't have to edit the current text within a cell.
Of course there is Ctrl+H or Alt, E, E that envokes the Find and Replace dialog box that can be used without the mouse but that is no different than retyping the cell's text that can be done with the previous method.

Hi
I'm not sure about other versions but in Excel 2000 the following works. Use arrows to move to the cell then press F2. It will place the cursor at the end of the text in the cell and you can use the left right arrows to move within the text in the selected cell.
Kind regards brizboy

F5=Goto cell no. F2=Edit current cell When editing use Home or End to BOL or EOL Those are standard keys within spreadsheet programs. You may also try the Help function = F1 to find out what quick keys to use.
