I installed MSoffice 2000 on a laptop with WindowsXP Pro I recently purchased. I copied an Excel file from my Desktop WindowsME system to the laptop. This file has much Macro & Visual Basic code. When I activate the file I get a message box saying the file contans Macros. Then it has 3 options. "Delete Macros" "Enable Macros" & More info. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this message box. Thanks Gary Hardy

Another way is to digitally sign the macros you want to be marked as 'Safe'. Found in VBE Tools.
Then you can elect to mark all macros signed by you (or anyone else you choose) as safe. You won't be asked again on those.

My only options are tools/macro/macros ALT+8, Record New Macro and Visual Basic Editor ALT+F11. So I guess I don't understand your response?

Taxi / Bryan.. I discovered the tools/macro/security options after I had entered my problem. I sent 2 replies but it seems they got lost. Thanks for your suggestions. Gary

I got to the dragging part when I was interrupted so I dragged it back to it's original position and closed out the window. Then went back in and security was gone. I was able to drag properties without a problem. I have booted up 3 times and still no security option. How could I have lost the option.
