Do any of you know how to make the little emoticons in Word 2003 appear again when you do stuff like :) or :( or :| ?
They used to show up as the little smiley face in a circle, but now it is just the text as typed, i.e., colon and parenthesi.

Hi Chuck
In Word, go to Tools and click Auto Correct You need a check in "Replace text as you type" Also, make sure that you have the emoticons in the list or replacements. They will be near the top of that list.

Thank ya kindly Krystyna,
I see where you are talking about, but the only non-text items in at the top of the list are the copyright, registered, trademark, and elipses.
any idea how to add in the little faces? I could add them if I knew where to copy and paste in the faces in the "with" box.
Thanks again, Chuck
