Email contacts conflict in 2 areas.

December 4, 2013 at 19:39:23
Specs: Windows XP
I have the list of my contacts down the left of the screen. Works well. Occasionally I want to add a new contact to the list. So I right click on the sender and go 'Add sender to address book', and I am told the address is already in my address book, but I know darned well it is not. This only happens now and again. It happened twice to day, that's why I am writing. When I go to my address book which has a large button at the top of the screen, I scroll to check to find it is not there, just as my computer told me.
But, and this is where things get interesting, occasionally a person will be in the Address book, but not in the list to the left of my screen. Should not the two be exactly the same. If not, why not?
Looking forward to some bright spark telling me what I am doing wrong.

Perhaps you have multiple folders in your Main Identity Address Book?
