E-mail addresses offered in Outlook draft mode

Both my wife and I experience this problem with Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003. When you start an e-mail the program offers a bunch of e-mail addresses that appear in a drop-down menu. Some of these are obsolete and have been removed from the address book LONG ago. but they still appear during the start of the e-mail. What we both want to do is to get rid of the obsolete e-mails that are saved somewhere in the program but I can't find a way to delete them.

Does anyone know how to accomplish this?????

I am not sure that I know how to get back here to read the answer so if the person answering would do me the great favor of e-mailing the answer to stevee621@gmail.com I would appreciate it very much.

Thank you, in advance,

If it's only a few addresses then you can do them individually by opening a new email and start typing in the address then move the cursor down to the address you want removed (don't select it, just highlight it) then press 'delete' - it will be removed and won't appear in your list again.

You should receive an email from CN telling you about this response so you can log in and see it. I don't send responses directly, simply because that defeats the whole object of a forum.

Incidentally it would be a good idea to remove your email address from your original post, there are things called email spiders whose sole aim is to harvest email addresses from public forums like this.
