Duplicate Personal Folders

I've tried backing up the .pst file, then renaming it. Then opening Outlook and closing the duplicate Personal Folders, The reopening Outlook to redirect to the renamed .pst file, then closing and reopening to find I still have duplicate Personal Folders even after renaming the .pst file back to Outlook.pst. Any new suggestions short of messing with the registry?

You mean you have two Personal Folders in Outlook Folder list? What would you think you could change in the Registry to fix this "problem?" Just remove the redundant file from the Data Files List.
