Where can I download a trial version of Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student? I bought a retail copy with three licences about 2 years ago, since when we have moved home and I can't find the disc anywhere. Following a recent 'disaster' I have had to replace my hard-drive and need to re-load my Office software.I had the presence of mind to make a note of all my Product Keys but need the Office programme in order to activate it, of course. Microsoft's site only has the Office 2010 now.

Thanks for any help - Peter (UK)

The trial version is no longer available. Trial versions are only available for a period of time after the product is introduced. If you were to find a download somewhere it is unlikely to activate.

You should contact Microsoft to see if you can obtain replacement disks.

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply. I did actually call Microsoft - the call went from the UK to someone in Estonia, would you believe - and they can indeed supply a replacement disc but, as they are 'out-of-stock' it will take about 4 weeks I was told. I did order and pay for one however - but I just hoped there might be a more expeditious way of doing it. I have got Word 2002 and 2005 but sadly most of my documents have now been created in Word 2007 and previous editions of Word wo'nt open documents created with my Office (Word) 2007 - or 2010 for that matter.

To open 2007 and 2010 documents in earlier versions of Office, download this:

Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack.

Dear Friend,

Well, thank-you very much indeed. You have helped me out a lot and I am very grateful to you for bringing this to my attention - it is now working just fine and will do everything I need until such times as my disc arrives.

Very many thanks again and my best wishes - Peter
