When I open a file to edit the content, the original file stays open on my task bar, and I often accidentally make changes to the read-only file instead of the edited file. I would like to eliminate the read-only original file from showing up on my task bar. Is it possible to do this?

If the file is open, it's going to show up in the taskbar. This is a problem probably best solved with discipline. No offense intended.
