Does the Outlook.PST include custom folders that I created?

February 27, 2013 at 20:04:14
Specs: Windows 7

I am running Outlook 2007 as a POP account ... I created custom folders - for example Taxes to put emails about my taxes.

I copied my Outlook.pst file to an external hard drive for backup purposes. I want to make sure this includes custom folders.

Yes, it should do, but if you want to be absolutely certain then do the backup from within Outlook. When you go through the 'export' option you choose to save to a .pst file and then are prompted to select the folders you want to export. Choose the inbox and make sure there is a tick in 'include' subfolders'.

Yes. The Folders are contained in the pst file.
