hi
does anyone know how to create a document that prints a different number on each copy it prints?
EG- a 1 page doc, that if printed 3 times the 1st print would have a 1 on, the 2nd print a 2, 3rd a 3, etc
i've been looking a formulas and fields and i'm sure theres a mail merge way but just cant put my finger on it.

Short of copying the first page to have the correct number of pages, or printing one copy then going back into Page numbering configuration, I don't think what you want is possible.

Go up to The Insert Tab and chose Page numbers and it will do what you want.
