Delete macros in Excel 2003?

March 22, 2009 at 13:52:54
Specs: Windows XP pro
I have made keystroke macros in various Excel 2003 sheets I use, and then have deleted some only to find that, upon opening the sheets, I am still asked whether I want to enable macros or not. If I have deleted them, why does it still ask me this question? How can I keep it from asking this aside from changing the security level which I cannot do on my work pc?

If you have any standard modules (Module1, Module2) etc. delete them.

Check each Sheet module to see if there are any macros in them.

Check the ThisWorkbook module also.

If you have a hidden personal.xls that opens when you open Excel then any macros in that workbook will also cause the message.
