hi

You know the way you can change the default location in an office application to save/open to a particualr? Well I have changed the default folder in word 2000 with no problems. however when I recive an attachment in outlook and then open it and click on file save as it always brings me to \documents and settings\myprofile\local settings\temp internet files\OLK2 folder. Is it possible to change this?

I am assuming that the particular attachment is a .html document or image that opens in IE that uses the TIF folder to open.

Sometime in the past you have saved a file, from within IE, in the TIF folder and that is why you are now prompted to save there.

If you do not open the attachment does it prompt to save in your default folder instead?

Also, when you save anything from within IE, be it a download or an image you can browse to a folder to download to. IE is very good at remembering this folder's path and will prompt for that same location the next time you save something from within IE.

So, to answer your question, Yes you can change it by simply browsing to the folder of your choice and IE will remember it for the next time.
