Date Add Calcluate

Microsoft Excel 2003 (full product)
October 13, 2009 at 09:28:25
Specs: Windows Vista
Hello,
I want a cell to display the date for the end of the week based on the current date.
ex. Today is Tuesday, October 13,2009. The week ends on October 17. So I want to see October 17 in my formula cell right up to Saturday. Then next week starting Sunday the formula cell should read October 24.

Thanks in advance :)

With a date in A1, try

=A1+7-WEEKDAY(A1)

WEEKDAY(A1) will return 3 for Tuesday

7 - 3 = 4

10/13/09 + 4 = 10/17/09

Hi,

Just as a note:
There are settings that can change which day Excel considers to be the first day of the week - but the formula is OK for the default setting.

All work great. However, I just discovered I require this within a sentence.
ex.
="Please see below, the results thur far for the week ending.....
the .... reading what this current weeks date ends on.
result being.
="Please see below, the results thur far for the week ending October 17, 2009.

Hi,

If your weekending date calculation is in cell B8,
use this formula in another cell:
="Please see below, the results thus far for the week ending " & TEXT(B8,"mmmm dd, yyyy")

Adjust the formatting string "mmmm dd, yyyy" as required.
