Dara File did not close properly...

Specs: Windows 7
Whenever I start Outlook 2007, I get a message saying:

"A data file did not close properly the last time it was used and is being checked for problems. Performance might be affected while check is in progress"

How do I stop this annoying message? I have tried repairing the "scan.pst" file. No luck. I have also read it may be a problem with Google Desktop, but I do not appear to have this installed.

Any ideas?

Do you mean you ran scanpst to check it for errors? Where is the pst file stored? Are you closing Outlook before logging off of your computer?

Hi. Thanks for your response. Actually I thought I used scanpst.exe but it turns out I tried something else instead. After running scanpst, the problem appears to be resolved. Thanks.

Hi there,

It appears this issue was not resolved after all, even after running Scan.pst.

In answer to your previous question, Jennifer: I hardly ever logoff my computer, but when I do Outlook is always closed.

Any other ideas on this one? Thanks again.
