Hey everyone,

I'm trying to format a non-interactive PDF file into one with text fields. I made the PDF interactive using Adobe LiveCycle Designer.

My problem is every 'interactive' thing I add (check box, text field, etc) the rectangular border box appears on the final PDF. I need to somehow get rid of this rectangular box around my text.

Does anybody know how to do this?

There is a picture of what I mean. On the final project the same red border (except black on final) appears.

I will also add that I tried to go to:

Palettes->Border

But it says "borders cannot be used in forms with PDF backgrounds" what does that mean?

When you do your text boxes etc. there is a setting that will allow you to eliminate the borders.this is located on the palletes.

When creating a form either from a template or from scratch, on the right you should see the following Pallettes:Library,Object and Accessability, and Library. If you don't see Object and Accessability, click on Window on the toolbar and check it. Under Object there are three tabs: Field,Value, and Binding. Make sure that the Field tab is highlihted. Under the field tab you should see Type: and directly under that you should see Appearance. The box next to appearance should by default say "Custom". OK! now highligh the box or boxes you want to change the appearance of and clck the dropdown to: none, or what eer you want. The none will get rid of the lines around the box, and when you look at it in Adobe all you will see is a blank space.
Hope that helps

Thank you t8ntlikly!!! It works! It makes me a little mad that some ASdobe update 'broke' this, because I've been happily creating forms for a year now without having to do this - I've wasted an hour, becuase of some update that changed the way the application works - Grrrrr.

But again, many thanks t8ntlikly.
