I need to count occurances of a certain entry but only if another cell has a certain entry. For example: I have 5 groups, Item, Description, Preprint, Description and Count. The first Description category is variable and will change from entry to entry (It could be green, red, blue, ect.). The second Description category lists all the possibilities for the description. I want to count how many times a description appears, but only if there is a 1 in the corresponding "Preprint" cell. If it would work, the formula would look like this:

This would be entered into cell E2:

COUNTIF($A$2:$A$5,=D2)AND COUNTIF(C2,=1)If we are talking about frogs, I want to know how many(Count) Frogs(Item) are blue(Description) and have are PrePrinted (PrePrint).

Can anyone help?
