Solved CountA is counting cells that appear to be blank

Specs: Windows 7
I have a COUNTA on a column and it adds up to 24. When I manually count there are only 12.
how do I locate the cells that excel thinks there is data in?

Assuming your data is in Column A, you could try this...

Enter =LEN(A1)>0 in any column and drag it down.

Wherever it returns TRUE if means that Excel found something otter than an empty cell.
