What do you mean by corrupt? How are you trying to open them?

What i mean by corrupt is that the messages are now scrambled, unreadable, they look like they are in code, i dont know how it happened or what happened.

How are you trying to open them? Through Yahoo IM and viewing the archive? Or some other way? Because, unless you place the files in the archive location, you will not be able to view them in plain text.

Default location is:

C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles\Your Yahoo User ID\Archive\Messages\Contact User ID

I have saved them to the correct file i.e

C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles\Your Yahoo User ID\Archive\Messages\Contact User ID

I am reading them through my yahoo archive in preferences and i cannot read them as they are unreadable.

You're using the same Yahoo ID as on the other computer?
