Comment:

I am trying to install the Normal template from Word 97 into Word XP so I can use the macroes and auto text that are in it along with the too bar buttons that I defined.

What is the equivelant file in Word XP and how to I get the information form my "Normal File" into it?

I have many forms that are designed to use hot buttons and auto text entries, so I really need to be able to transfer the information.

Thanks for any help you can give me!!!

Have you tried just copying the normal.dot? As for "Many forms" do you mean templates? If so, you'll have to copy those as well.

Keep in mind though, because of the great difference in the two versions, not everything will be exactly the same..

THANKS!!! I copied my rather large Normal file to the right place and now I can use the XP version of word!!

You would think that Microsoft would document this somewher (or maybe I didn'f find it when I did my search.

Thanks again...Bill
