Copy pictures from browser to Word 2010 fails

October 25, 2011 at 05:30:54
Specs: Windows 7
I'm using Windows 7 and Word 2010 (now).
Like I've been doing for years I selected texts and pictures on a site (doesn't matter what site, I tried several), copied it (Ctrl-C) and pasted it into Word (Ctrl-V, but also using various paste buttons).
Texts show up but only placeholders for pictures.
Of course I tried changing various options (Options | Advanced) but no difference.

How can I copy and paste like in previous versions of Word?
If this can't be solved (I didn't find a solution on the internet) to me it means Word 2010 is rubbish and I will use my old Office 2000 (or get Office 2003 where I know it does work).

"I will use my old Office 2000"

Not on Windows 7 you won't. They are not compatible.

Might I suggest you save the pic to your hard drive first. Then copy/paste it into Word from wherever you saved it?
