HI I am trying to convert a word 2000 file to xls format and obviously want the fields in word to be converted into the cells in excel. However, all my attempts fail miserably with most of the info just being shown as a single column in excel. :-(

You may be better of just cutting and pasting. Or, you could put all the data into a table in Word, and then just copy the entire table to Excel. In that case, each cell in the table would be an individual cell in Excel.

Thanks for the help Jennifer :-) I have actually tried that but still seemed to end up with a single column. Oh well, back to the drawing board I guess
Thanks anyway :-)
