My old job ran Office 2003. When I left I saved my calendar and personal contacts in a PST file. I got home and my home pc running Office 2000 can't open the pst file. Is there a conversion utility? I don't want to upgrade just for this.
thanks
simon

Download and install pfbackup. It's an Outlook backup utility. It works if you try to recover a saved backup of a 2003 pst file, but it may just work if you use the original.
Install the software, put the 2003 pst file on your HDD, and then do File, Backup, Open Backup, and select the pst file. It will open it as another Personal Folder, and you can then copy the data to your new 2000 pst file.
If you can't find the pfbackup software, email me, and I'll send it to you.

When I tried to open an Outlook 2003 pst file with pfbackup installed in Outlook 2000 it told me the file format was not compatible. I don't think this works - unless I am missing something.
