The only draw back is that USB can travel only so far before it starts losing data. Not sure if I'm explaining this properly, but I believe the max length USB cable you can get is 10 feet. After that you would have to boost the signal again. If you plan on networking 2 computers and leaving them nearby each other, then obviously this would not be a problem.

And what about DOS?
Is the file transfer under DOS 7 also possible with that cable?

You may want to transfer this topic over to the general hardware forum. If I knew the answer to this I would tell you. But I don't so others in that forum might be able to help.
When all else fails, beat the %*#$! out of it!!!

Hi,
The PC Linq cable only allows file transfers it does not allow file and print sharing, nor does it allow Internet Connection Sharing.
It is however possible to buy a USB to USB network cable, which will network via the USB ports
