|The key thing to keep in mind is that the format chosen for Conditional Formatting is applied when the formula (Rule) evaluates to TRUE.|
This formula will be TRUE when the date is F21 is greater than (i.e. later) the date in G21:
TIP: You can always test your Condtional Formatting rules by putting the formula in a cell and manipulating it until it returns TRUE for the condition(s) you are testing for. If it returns TRUE in a cell, it'll return TRUE when used as a Conditional Formatting rule and the formatting will be applied.
