Conditional Formatting Color Scales

Specs: Windows XP
Suppose I have two arrays of data as given below.ARRAY 1 ARRAY 21 2 3 4 1 2 3 48 7 6 5 1 2 3 49 10 11 12 1 2 3 416 15 14 13 1 2 3 4I have array 2 conditionally formatted with a color scales gradient. I would like to format array 1 based on the format of array 2. In other words, if the conditional formatting rules make the column of 1's red, the column of 2's orange, the column of 3's yellow, and the column of 4's green, I want the first column of array 1 red, the second column of array 2 orange, the third column of array 3 yellow, and the fourth column of array 1 green. I can't simply copy the formatting, because it tries to apply the conditional formatting rule of array 2 to array 1, which is not what I want. Any ideas?

Sorry, the arrays didn't preserve my intended alignment. Imagine arrays 1 and 2 are both 4 rows by 4 columns.

 Ok, let's try that again.```Array 1 Array 2 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 8 7 6 5 1 2 3 4 9 10 11 12 1 2 3 4 16 15 14 13 1 2 3 4 ```I have array 2 conditionally formatted with a color scales gradient. In other words, if the conditional formatting rules make the column of 1's red, the column of 2's orange, the column of 3's yellow, and the column of 4's green, I want the first column of array 1 red, the second column of array 2 orange, the third column of array 3 yellow, and the fourth column of array 1 green.
