Comment:
Does anyone know a way of combining multiple Word 2000 documents into a single document?
Someone has supplied me with a book written in Word 2000, however they have saved each chapter in a different file (chap01.doc, chap02.doc etcetera).
Is there a way for me to select all .doc files and save them into a single .doc file?
I realize I can cut and paste, but arghhh what a mission. There's got to be a quicker way?

I've found a quasi-solution to the problem. Because ultimately I needed all chapters in PDF format, I've just PDF'd each individual page and then used Adobe Acrobat to combine them all into one PDF document.
Bravo!

In Word 2000, do the following:
1. Open the first document
2. Move cursor to end of that document (or the next page after the end)
3. Go to "Insert" on the top menu, and from the dropdown list select "File", and browse to the next document.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all documents (chapters) have been added.
Hope this makes it easier for you.
