clearing the cmos with jumper

could anyone explain to me proper process of clearing the bios with the jumper ...?

Shut down the computer. Remove the power lead. Move the jumper to the clear position. Leave it there for a few seconds then replace the jumper back from whence it came.
Re-start the computer and enter the BIOS set up and set any settings that need setting. Save and re-boot.

also i have no video .... monitor does not even switch on with startup...

There is no need to remove the battery. It is the power from the battery that is used to clear the memory.
