Hello,
I want to do the following: if i enter the word "pc" in column "a" then in column "b" the number "2" to appear. Given the fact that in other columns i have all the words and the numbers that i want to use. Thanks in advance and let me know if i can provide any more info.

When posting in a Help forum such as computing.net, please try to use a Subject Line that is relevant to the question in your post.

If everyone used a generic Subject Line such as "Excel 2003" we wouldn't be able to tell one question from another and it would make the archives very difficult to search.

I have edited the Subject Line of your post.

If I understand your question correctly, you have a list of words with a number associated with each word.

When you enter one of the words in a cell, you want to corresponding number to appear in the cell next to it.

If that's the case, then review the Help files for VLOOKUP.

Thank you very much, i succefully performed what i needed, the only thing is now when i drag the formula down to fill the other cells it changes the table array. Example =VLOOKUP(C2;F2:G24;2;FALSE) then when i drag it down it goes to =VLOOKUP(C11;F11:G33;2;FALSE). how can i keep the table array steady? Thanks
