Hello, I have Word 2000 on Windows XP and get the following Error Msg when when I double click on a word document: "The document name or path is not valid. Try these suggestions- * check the file permission for the document or drive. *Use the file open dialog box to locate the document. I am able to open the document using File option dialog box. Can someone please help !

Is it just one document?
If so, save the document under another name and try doubling clicking that icon/filename. If it opens, delete the old one and rename the new one.

I just created and saved a file. Then I went back and tried opening but got the same error . Strangely, the error msg appeared 3 times in the new file but the old doc files only had it once.

Sorry, this one's beyond me.
I thought that maybe Word had lost the path to the docs, but if it's happening with new docs, I'm not sure what else to suggest.
