Solved can't install office 2013

Specs: Windows 7
I am more frustrated than I can say.

I NEED Microsoft office, but I feel like throwing my new computer out of the window because I can't install Office.

Should be effortless. I haven't a clue what to do. Even found one place on the Microsoft website that just suggested changing the registry ! To what and how ? No more information than that !

Elsewhere the advice is always... just run this bit of software to help remove the trial version or do it manually. Been going through the same thing for 2 days !!!!! But the same bootstrapper problem pops up no matter what I do.

Got more adrenalin coursing through my veins right now than I've had for years.

Please Please Please Please Microsoft... give us a fix.

My computer is useless to me without office. So... wasted money on a new computer and a new version of Office. Wish I'd kept my old one... because this version of Office is clearly not ready for release.

The internet is full of loads of people complaining about the same thing.

OK rant over. I hope someone can help me.

Hi mark99,

If you have previous version or a trial version of Microsoft Office installed on the system, remove it using RevoUninstaller. Use the link mentioned below to download RevoUninstaller:

Perform a deep scan to remove the software completely. Once the software is removed, restart the system and then try installing Microsoft Office.

Please keep us posted with the results.

Thanks & Regards

Thank you so much for your reply.
Actually... I've just this minute managed to install it by switching off 'Windows Search' on the control panel. That did the trick.
Appreciate your help.

I too am glad to hear it's working but next time avoid the rant. None of that helps us to help you and as most of us do this in our spare time for free we don't really want to waste our time reading it.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
