I use Outlook2000 on XP. Several days ago I started having to make several attempts to download all of my email. If there were 80 emails on the server it might download 10 and I'd get a message saying that 70 messages couldn't be retrieved. I'd keep at it and eventually all of them would be downloaded. Now today, I'm not able to get any to download.
My Host Gator support person said the error message related to a problem with Outlook. That may be correct because my wife, who has an email account on the same domain and uses Outlook, isn't having this problem.

Have you tried increasing your server timeouts? Have you looked at your email using your ISP's web interface to see if there is a VERY large message that may be preventing the download?
