I have a document which, after I edited it, became shorter and left a blank page at the end, which Word won't let me delete. The document has headers and footers, and so it put a header and footer on the blank page. Word won’t let me delete the page while it has a header and footer, but when I remove the header and footer from the blank page, they are removed from the entire document. Once the header is gone, the extra page goes away, but when I put the header back in the rest of the document, the extra page comes back. I created a new section for the blank page, so that I could delete the header and footer from it, without affecting the rest of the document. That allowed me to take off the header and footer from the blank page, but I still can’t delete the page. The section break is continuous, so it shouldn’t be creating a new page. There is a table at the end of the last page, and the section break is between the table and the footer, and I can’t select it to delete it, it selects either the table or the footer instead. I tried copying all but the last page and pasting it into a new document, and it also created a new page at the end which behaved the same way. Anyone know what to do?

Go into Print Preview, and you should be able to delete the extra page.

Where and how exactly? I've looked all over print preview and I don't see a way.

The only way I have found of doing it is to put cursor infront of first letter on next page in document and use backspace key continuesly, this will move all further next up the blank page thereby moving all text up through the rest of the document leaving the blank page at the end of the document, where word will automaticaly delete it. If you then double click on a header you can change the page number which will change all page numbers through document. There will be a quicker way but I`m thick!!!!
