I don't know if I deleted something from the registry trying to rid myself of spyware or if something happened during the download of the new xp patch (which I can't tell if I actually received). But the problem I have is in MS Word. If I make a new document I can save it to my documents but when i try to save it to a memory stick in the e drive I get an error message "Error copying file or folder" "Cannot create or replace *file name* The directory or file cannot be created." If I try to save something that I have already saved there once it goes through fine. I do not have anything write restricted or set on read only and the problem just started. Tried two different memory sticks and renaming the files and copy and paste, everything. I did recently remove two registry items that were supposedly spywhere. I don't remember which ones and it was done before a system restore shut off and turn back on. Is there a way to see what should be on the registry or something? Ideas?

Depending on the software you used to remove the spyware on your PC you might be able to recover the deleted entries and then review the situation. Regards M

Nope. I had just written down the entries and went in to regedit later and deleted them and then tossed the list. A bright guy.
