Cannot open PowerPoint PPT file

June 30, 2011 at 09:21:11
Specs: Windows Vista
When I click on the PPT file I get a message "No text inverter is installed for this file type".
I've never had this before and open other PowerPoint files without a problem.
could it be the PowerPoint is on a newer version of PowerPoint

If you think it's a document that was created in MS Office 2007 or 2010, download the compatibility pack from here:

It will allow you to open 2007/2010 documents in 2003 and earlier.

(I'm not saying that that's the problem, but installing the compatibility pack is worth a try and good thing to do anyway.)

Click Here Before Posting Data or VBA Code ---> How To Post Data or Code.

Thank you. I've followed your instructions but it still does not work. I'm not sure if I'm saving the download correctly. When it says save must I simply hit the Save button or do I need to open something else so that it can be saved on the hard drive?
