i need a key code to use microsoft word. when i go to use micro soft word, itis asking for a key code and I do not know what it is . how can I get a key code so i can use microsoft word. how can i get a key code I no longer have the info from when i bought software few years ago

When you purchase a piece of software such as Microsoft Word you are really buying the right to use it on your computer. That right is represented by the product key. The install CD is only the media and is of no great value. For this reason you should take particular care that you do not loose the product key. It would be illegal for anyone to provide you with such a key.
