Can receive but not send emails through my outlook whilst out in Turkey. Have read some forums saying port 25 will only work where your virgin account is - in UK. Please has anyone another port number which works for outgoing mail - urgent. Do not want to use webmail - need to be able to have other info from other emails as it is work purposes.

Since it is work related then I assume you are getting your emails through an Exchange server and if that server is 2003 or 2007 then you can use "Outlook Anywhere". Go into Outlook's Help and search for "Outlook Anywhere" and you will find the article "Enable Outlook Anywhere in Outlook" that explains how to set it up within Outlook. Otherwise you will need to access the email using your companies Outlook Web Access site. HTH Bryan

Sorry Brian - Its my own work - not a company server. I read somewhere relating to BTyahoo INternet that 'they had changed something so it would not send using port 25 to cut out spam'. Don't know if this is the problem but what other port number to use? Or its something to do with IP address as I am on a different laptop and using a turkish router which I think will be the IP its looking at. Any advice on this? I am on my own here as its difficult to get help in af oreign language.

This is the error I am getting:- Task 'patmore - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC67) : ' The server responded: 421 aamtaout02-winn.ispmail.ntl.com connection refused from [88.224.141.122]'
