Specs: Windows XP
I created a spreadsheet at school on Excel 2007 and am unable to open it on my laptop at my home. I recently loaded a trial version of office 2010 but deleted it. I have office 2007 suite on my laptop and when I try to open the file it says it can't find the program to open it and gives me two options, of which neither work. I am able to open it back on the school's computer, but still can't seem to get it to work on my laptop, also it has a strange file extension when I veiw it on my laptop of OOBE., any information will help.

Never seen an oobe file before. Are you sure it's an xls or an xlsx file? What happens if you open Excel on your home computer and browse to the location of the saved file? Can you open it then?

Try resaving it as another version of Excel.
