Solved can i use an IF statement to hide info

Specs: Windows XP
I'm looking to have a spreadhseet tracking finances every month for a year or two. Is there anyway i can automatically hide older data and future data ranges by using an IF statement or anything? Basically because the person inputing the info doesnt need to see the other data, i just want them to see what they need to input

For instance column A is the month, column B is income and column C is cost. Can i use a formula to hide all months that aren't current?

You can not use a formula to hide rows or data. You would need some VBA, i.e. a macro.

Have you considered a separate worksheet for each month and a summary sheet linked to the others to consolidate the data?

You could hide every sheet except for the current month and then use the steps given here to prevent the users from unhiding the other months:
