Can I install Open office in windows 8

I have a new computer with Windows 8 and want to use my old Open Office files. I have tried to download Open Office but it does not seem to work

Did you try from their site:
http://www.openoffice.org/
It should install with no problems.

thank you Mike I had tried their site but was having trouble with it.However this am I have found a way to do it win8 is so diferent I got terribly confused
