Suddenly out of the blue (or rather green) all messages sent and received with HTML formatting have a dark green background. Plain text messages do not have this. I can't get rid of it with formatting as most of the options there are greyed out. This is annoying both from the legibility standpoint and because I simply don't know what happened. Thanks for help with this. I am using an external monitor since yesterday, but all was normal yesterday and earlier today. I've tried everything I can think of.

Sure. Sorta dumb on my part. I went to IE Tools, Internet Options, General tab, Appearance, Colors and changed the background. Still puzzled as to how it became changed in the first place. I must have hit just the right (wrong?) key combination. Thanks for your interest and help.
