I am working on a photo video cd using SWiSH 2. I need to produce avis, but the output size is way too large (200Mb). On the other hand, when I save as swf, the sizes are of the order of 2 to 4 Mb. Please can someone recommend a software that will convert swf files to avi files and keep the file size less than 10 Mb? I need this urgently.

AVI's aren't limited to one type of codec. There are many such as Cinipak, Intel's Indeo, DIVX, XVID, etc.
Your best bet is probably going to be a DVIX or XVID codec. They seem to give the best picture quality while maintaining a failry small file size.
Go to www.divx.com and install the DIVX codec. Then go to http://www.tmpgenc.net/ and get the TMPGenc program. That will let you convert your video files.
