My company developed a program and I need to know how to associate the file extension with the program. The file extension that we are using is .scn, which I dont think is a reserved extension. I used the Control Panel->Folder Options->File Types process to associate the extension with the program. But that didnt work. Does anyone have any idea of what to do? I want for the program to open up when a file with the associated extension is clicked on. Thanks. Mario Williams

That should be simple. Just left click on the scn file. Now hold down the SHIFT key and right click on the file and choose Open With... Then choose the program or browse for it. OK. Now check the box to make it Always open it with this program. Now click OK. That should do it.
