Folks, I'm in a bind here. I'll spare you the details, but I need a copy of a file..can't find the one I need.
It's an Office 2003 SP2 file named mainsp2.msp. Does anyone have that? If so, could you please email it to me?
Thanks much....

Hi Jennifer,
I am surprised you are looking for an Office file. I did a search and it didn't come up, but it might be in a .cab file ???
Regards, Grok

Looks like you can get it as part of Office 2003 SP2 (as noted) from MS via http://support.microsoft.com/kb/887616
Quote
Information for administrators about .msp files
The administrative service pack consists of a full-file Microsoft Windows Installer file (.msp file) that is packaged in a self-extracting executable file. The .msp files in the following table are distributed in this service pack.Name of .msp file Description
Mainsp2.msp Applies to Office 2003
Owc11sp2.msp Applies to Office 2003 Web Components
Owc102003sp2.msp Applies to Office XP Web Components
End of quoteFor what that is worth,
Bryan

Bryan, you're right. Thus my dilema. The self extracting exe installs, but doesn't place any of the files on the local machine. Wonder if I could use a mainsp2 from Office XP and fool the machine into thinking it was the correct file?

I figured it out. That worked. Thanks for input Bryco.
