Using Outlook 97....can I delete archive.pst and will it just recreate itself and save space.

If you have ever archived any data and it is stored in that file (i.e. old email files). You will lose that data.
You can open the archive to see what it contains. In outlook go to File<Open I believe and there should be an otion to open another database (sorry can't give specifics at the moment as the PC I'm currently on is running notes). If the archive does not contain anything you want, then by a ll means delete it. If you do want to keep it, but want to fre up the space, just save it off somewhere like a CD.
