Have you tried eBay? Keep in mind, newer PCs have Hardware that will probably not be compatible with 98, and anything newer will be a learning curve for your friend. My advice, take some time to sit with her and help her learn the new system. She'll feel empowered. :)

hi jennifer,

got a pc with with 98 running, tried e bay etc, i've asked about retraining, but she doesnt want to go there. giving her time isnt a problem, all she wants is Ami Pro.
Thanks for your response.

I managed to get AmiPro working on a new Vista PC, by simply copying all the files in the C:\Amipro\ folder and all the c:\windows\AMI*.* files from an old PC where Amipro was installed. I then manually created a shortcut to Amipro.exe on the Start Menu and Desktop

I did this by installing the old disk in the new PC, but you can obviously copy to 2/3 floppy disks (if you have one on the new PC) or via a USB stick or some other method.

Did you find the program? I understand how she feels - it was a good program! I use it on my laptop w/XP - not on any new computers.
