adding text to multiple colums in excel

One more question. I have a column in excel
with about 4000 items in them and i would like
to add the manufacturer name to all of the
products at once as they all are from the same
manufacturer. Is there a way I can add this
text to all of them at once?

Enter the name once in one cell in the column.
Copy it, then select the other 3999 or so cells and Paste.

I will show you an example.

colum A
usb 456
rj45 cable
phone cable

now i would like to put in front of all these items unicore

so it would look like this for all items
unicore usb 456
unicore rj45

If your column A data starts at row 2,
enter "unicore" in cell B1
In cell B2 enter this formula:

=B$1& " " &A2
Note the $ sign.
Drag the formula down as many rows as you have data in column A.

Now select all the cells with the unicore prefix in column B. Copy
Then select the first cell with data in Column A and right-click,
PasteSpecial - select Values, and OK.
(Make a copy of your data before trying this)
Delete column B.

If column B is not available, any column will do, e.g. place "unicore" in cell Z1
and the formula in Z2 is:

=Z$1& " " &A2
