Microsoft Office excel 2003

Hi all, wondering if I could get some help, relatively new at using Excel (version is 2003). In one cell I have 12 numbers/text separated by semicolons (IE - ?;?;0;1558;0;0;0;?;?;?;?;?). Is there any way I can find the sum of all the numbers in a cell next to it (IE - A1=?;?;0;1558;0;0;0;?;?;?;?;?, A2=1558). I have multiple cells to apply this same formula too, all different numbers and "?" in different places for each cell, but always 12 numbers or ? separated by semicolons. Hope this is clear, thanks for help in advance.

Select the cells with the strings in them and click Data...Text-To-Columns. Choose Delimited...Next...click the Semicolon box...Finish

SUM the resulting range of 12 cells.

Thanks much, worked.
